I got this normal filler a while ago and never used it but I recently found out that they have a fine filler as well. I guess that the fine one would be better suited for modelling but in any case I'll paint over it with water based acrylics.

I once used a wood filler from Clou on a model and had an awful time painting it. The filler swelled up from the water inside the paint and that left behind significant creases. It also formed very fine cracks witch I was never able to fill. Both molto variants are for in- and outdoors so I guess water should not be a problem.

I'll buy a tube of the fine one this weekend to try it out on a smaller model I have but I wanted to hear your experiences with it.

Thanks in advance

What type of gaps are you looking to fill, and just how big are those gaps?
