This is the CSS Alabama. On the stern it tells me to run planks up and down at the very end. The planks at the bottom die in before the prop area, but nothing shows me or tells me how to do plank the middle.

Are you referring to the counter, seen in figures 32 -33? Or the area aft above the propeller?

I see what you mean Ed.You are referring to the area below the stern counter.I would say a combination of normal planking meeting planking in a 'fan' pattern on the infill pieces.I would be tempted to fit more infill blocks above the centreline of the propshaft.You can then shape these and get a better idea of what to do.There will be a very awkward transition of shapes at the top of the propeller window,and I wouldn't want to attempt it without infilling first.

the picture of the plans was to show that they didn't show me anything underneath the stern counter (I didn't know the name of that piece untill today)
