cdogg Posted January 12, 2014 #1 Posted January 12, 2014 Hello all- I recently finished up a Midwest Lobster Boat before X-mas. Then the temp was very cold and dry. The last few days the temp has gone up about 30 degrees and my boat has stayed in the same room. But, now the rigging seems to have expanded and is all hanging lower and no longer tight. The knots are ok but the string seemed to have changed. I used bees wax and thought it would be ok. Is this a common temperature change issue? Good thing it is easy to fix but I would to work on larger ship and have all this rigging slack overnight. I know this subject isn't new but this literally happened over the course of three days. Q A's Revenge Posted January 12, 2014 #2 Posted January 12, 2014 Just thinking out loud here but perhaps there has been an increase in humidity and the rigging has got damp? If so, maybe very gentle drying with a hair dryer might help.

It's very frustrating that it happened so fast!
