I'm working a model that includes wood cut with laser.  this is great for the tiny details but i am having an issue of getting the char from the edges all over the pieces, smudging them, as i try to sand the edges.

Anyone have success managing the char residue????

Many of us have similar problems, I'd be interested to see if there any new suggestions.

This has come up several times but I can't remember the remedy. Apart from the look of the parts there where concerns about glue bonding as well. I believe scraping was mentioned and perhaps Isopropyl?

Take my advice with a grain of salt as I am just a beginner, but I was just watching some very informative videos that showed the char being scraped off with a single edge razor blade on flat sections, dremel (carefully) on curved sections.
