Hopefully someone has the answer here. I know that most kits make do with one or two sizes of rings and eyes for all situations so I'm hesitant to just take their word. Per the images below, can anyone advise what the Diameters and section thickness of both the Eyes and the Rings would be for the 5 different positions (A-E) indicated? Thanks in advance!

I searched for the answer here, but I may have used the wrong nomenclature, because I only got one answer and it didn t have the information I was looking for.. I have added the fittings to my ship, and they are all silver in color. I have not painted them, yet. The only other build for the same kit that I am making has them painted matt black. I am hazarding a guess they were made from either wood, or iron, possibly steel in the late 17, early 1800's?

Hi all. I have several barrels to decorate in my Spirit of Mississippi build and the only decoration other than varnish are black hoops. Having no other painting on the barrels they need to be right first time. Not having done this before and painting not being my forte, has anyone any good hints for painting the hoops right first time This is one of the barrels and the idea is to paint the rebated hoops. Help please
