Flying Fish - Model Shipways - by -Mike-

My attempt at the Flying Fish. Built by Donald McKay in 1851 at East Boston, Massachusetts. She sailed from Boston to San Francisco in 92 days, 3 days short of the record held by her sister ship Flying Cloud.

Mike.  Awesome job!  I'm getting ready to rig mine.  (Everytime I think I'm ready I discover something else like an eyebolt or pully on a different page that I forgot to add).  Would love to tap into your experience if you're open to a call.

Wow. Stunning craftsmanship. As a teen in the 70s, I lusted after this kit but could not afford it.

The carved hull kit, correct?  Assuming so, I have that kit but it's been somewhat abandoned for many years.  Nice to see what it looks like.

I must say the plans are exquisite compared to anything else I've seen in a kit so far.
