Several (many) years ago I determined I needed to put aside the large model of the Golden Hinde and work on my skill sets. This model was one that I built with that in mind.
This is a kit model of Midwest Models Dinghy. I read the kit was a "week-end" kit. It took me a couple of weekends as I recall.
As with most of us, real life got in the way of leisure time stuff. So, it was quite a while until I did other modeling and still have some 'in progress' items.
However, I did not 'stand still.' Being a voracious reader, I began researching the hobby, built what I think is a decent library of books, and eventually joined the NRG in 2019.
I just wanted to post this model as a starting point for my increased involvement with the NRG and MSW forum. However, because of the knowledge gained here, I see several areas that I would do differently if I repeated the build such as seizing the rope around the outside (which is why I didn't show that view in the album).
