HMS Ramillies (1917)

Scratch built 1:500 scale HMS Ramillies (Revenge class battleship).

Found the painting by Charles Pears "HMS Ramillies in a gale of wind" (IWM) and simply had to build her...

Based on the old Frog/Revell kit and the drafts from National Maritime Museum, Grerenwich I decided to build her from brass with wooden decks and several PE parts.

She's placed in a scenery depicted her anchorage at Scapa Flow, where she receives crew from the hired armed drifter BF922 'Blossom'. Hope you'll like it.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955.
