  1. Hi Jay This may sound a stupid question but what glue do you use when rigging as yours seems to leave no residue? Glyn
  2. Hi Adam As a newcomer to the hobby this database is invaluable to making decisions as to which kits to investigate before purchasing so well done for taking the time and trouble to put it together. I hope that MSW will embrace the database and allow links to be added to deliver the most comprehensive database for all model lists irrespective of skill level. I look forward to seeing your progress. Best wishes and thanks Glyn
  3. I am building my first model and painting with paints supplied for the kit which is by Caldercraft. I cannot seem to get the metal dull black paint to uniformly cover the brass. Does anyone have any tips please?
  4. Andy Thanks for a great tip unfortunately I have already fixed the tiller but will leave the pump until the rigging has been done. Glyn
  5. Hi normanh this is exactly what I did, the plans show a pin but i glued together the two parts first.
  6. Unfortunately the pictures are not too much help so I have chosen to do my own thing. Normanh I remember your post and was looking forward to using your build log to guide my build so the loss is shared.
  7. As a newcomer to model ship building, I chose the Caldercraft kit of the HM Mortar Convulsion for my first model. Whilst for most part the plans are self-explanatory I have an issue with the tiller which has two parts but neither the plan nor the instructions advise how the pieces relate to each other. I presume that they are glued side by side to take the fixing rod but before I do this I am hoping that a fellow member might confirm this. Unfortunately there are no images of this model that I can view. Regards Glyn
