I just started construction of the Galley Washington today. It will be quite a while before I would need the cannon. So I'll go on with the build and keep on searching for a company who can do what i need. Thanks again for all your help. I will be in touch incase I need some help in other areas. Bob

What I am going by is the drawings I purchased from NRG. I have no other information. I did not research it at all. Felt there was no reason to. Bob

So it is now Feb. 7th. No response to my question. Guess what I'll do is simply go ahead with the construction and leave out the cannon. I do thank everyone who tried to help. Kudos. Thanks for all your help. Bob

Yes I did see the canon at the lumber yard. The measurements seem to be different. Two examples are the 4 pounder. The drawings for the galley has it at approxamintly 1" the lumber yard has it listed at 1 23/64". the 18 pounder is the same the drawing is at 1 3/4" the lumber yard has it listed at 2 15/64". I don't know why. Could be the weight of the canon ball does not determine the length of the barrel. The difference in the in the measurement is the same for all the rest of the canon. If I could use a metal lath I would have no problem. I do really appreciate all your help. Thanks.

Chuck, Thank you for your reply. I haven't been on in about a week. Thank you for all the information. I will try the Lumberyard. Based on your experience I feel it will work. Thanks for the heads up about the Lumberyard. I ordered from them before. Bob
