    hi every-one. I too have the Harriet Lane kit, and after looking at all the models in progress i am considering modyfying things.So i may cut bulwarks off down to deck level and then building them back up perhaps using thin ply or planks has anybody thoughts about this. Janet Bode. BYE

    Bettina here in U-K Axminstrer tools have just brought out the VERITAS miniature low angle BLOCK PLANE. A lovely tool to use it is 60mm long by 19mm wide not a toy, at £39.95(on offer) code no 504079, it"s great to use. JANET.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
