Thank you very much Denis,

Thanks very much Dave,
your crew identification rate is realy not bad.... nearly 100%
With ref to the maning of those oars I wish I knew myself how they did it, but sitting on the canons is an interesting option. When cutting the gunports I had the same feelings, but larger holes would have fouled the inner bulwark structures
Your humor and your comments are highly appreciated....

Bill,
Many thanks four your appreciative words, I saw this build once as a very well completed and colored card model, but in the small scale 1: 250. So from that time on my mind went pregnant with the question if it would be possible to scratch build the ship in a larger scale, e.g. 1:144....., and it was...

Christo,
yes, that is one of several Chebec types....

You`re welcome Christos,
when going for a scratch build, you probably will at least be holding a good construction plan, thats worth a lot.....
Next project : I`ll be going for a scratch built North Afican / Mediteranian "Chebece" like also the 18th century pirates of the "Barbary Coast" sailed, and after a purchased and 25% enlarged "Amati plan", but its still in the preparation phase...

Hi Christos,
thank you for your words my freind, much appreciated.....
to answer your questions :
build time 26 months, and appr. 1950 hours...including the glass case
The dark background is done with a black fleetch blanket hanging down from a horizontal plank, and the lower part draped over admiral`s height adjustable ironing table, where the model stands on. From the ceiling I turned 3 existing hallogen spots directed on to the model for illumination . The tip with the black blanket credits to member "Lee" who recommended this tip some time ago
