    My questions are , 1: how wide from the outside of the station to the inside like 1/2" inch , 3/4" inch , 1" inch & should I use 1/8" inch lite ply , 3/16" inch? 2: For the " keel " what should I use , like solid piece or laminate two pieces of lite ply ? 3: for the planking what should I use? & what thickness? Any and all help will be very appreciated & Thank You

    This is my first rc scratch built aircraft carrier, realy close to 1/220 scale ,for the frames use 1/8" inch lite plywood , for the planking what kind of wood ? & glue?, epoxy ?? And yes I want to glass it

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
