    Hi! I'm a rookie model builder who has run into a dead end based on the diagrams for masting and rigging that were provided with my kit. I'd love to connect with anyone who has experience with either this model or other similar models and could help me learn how to interpret the diagrams which are vague and even appear contradictory in some places. I've come to a halt as I don't want to attempt a home made approach just to continue the work. Based on my experience so far, I'm likely to mess up something that will need to be done down the road. Many thanks for any help offered.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
