    I grew up like most teens assembling plastic models. I naively thought this would be the same process. Nope! I will likely spend more time sanding than I will assembling. Lol Thanks for the words of encouragement. This is a helpful community.

    Single planking but I did things differently. I planked only one side as I knew it would be a learning fiasco. Second side should be easier now.

    Wondering how many ended up with a bunch of putty and a lot of sanding on their first model. Lol I’ve made so many tiny structural planking errors that I will be sanding and inserting putty forever. I’m reminded of my buddies in high school whose muscle cars were held together mostly by bondo. I will know better my next time.

    Working on a smaller model and simply cannot think of a way to hold planking in place while the glue dries. I have watched all the tutorials and read the FAQs but can’t find an easy way to do it. Besides holding in place manually. I suppose I could take some time off work. thanks

    Thanks for the warm greetings! Now, where did I see that list of recommended tools? I’m off to Michaels! I’ve got so many tools from my RC plane days. No way am I digging through the closet though.

    Hello! Just got my first model and am immediately unsure how to carve some type of bevel from the bearding line to the bottom of the false keel. Where would be the appropriate place to post a photo and ask for help? Thanks and hope all are well.
