  1. This is part of the improvements to the kit that I want to do. Good construction sites to all of you, and a little wink from France
  2. Hello, While the woods are soaking or drying, I tinker with the kit a bit. Improved hatch railings, ugly on the kit.
  3. Hello everyone, Here is a way to replace the first plank, which is not provided on this assembly, as I had already explained to RockinBudgie. Balsa blades 3mmx 2cm thick and placed between the couples. Then sanding and putty, I arrive at something quite regular. Now I will be able to start the simple planking.
  4. Thanks you Dave Have a good day 😊
  5. Hello Catopower, Thank you for your nice message. The Montañés is a beautiful boat. If you have pictures? Good day to you.
  6. hello everyone, Everything has an end, that's port, it's done. Finally, for the planking and the ports. The future enclosures, paintings, installation of ports and then, what I dread: the hull. And since I have two left hands, it's going to be hard. You will tell me that there is the solution of doubling the planking.... I hesitate. We'll see on the job, depending on the damage.
  7. Hello 4 Strong Winds, I'm also a beginner, and I think I saw little big. I hope to get to the end of the monster😄 Good day to you
  8. Thank you, your welcome is funny
  9. Thanks Jim, Mtaylor and Druxey Have a good day
  10. Spanish boat it was their largest warship in the 18th century, dismasted by the British at Trafalgar. Its plans were designed by the Irish naval architect Matthew Mullan also named Mateo Mullán. Built in Havana, from 1766, in American cedar wood, she was launched in 1769 with three decks and 112 guns under the name of Santísima Trinidad, official name from March 12, 1768 A priori, scuttled by the English who had taken it in tow or disappeared in a storm on October 24, 1805 at the end of the battle. The mystery remains...
  11. Laying the walls and planking, then reopening the ports (138) with a cutter is a long, very long process. I finished starboard, and I'm halfway to port
  12. Hello everyone, non 02/03/2022, I decided to undertake the construction of the ST, it is my 2nd boat, the previous one: Cutty Sark, was not a great success, it was to practice my hand. The ST is not an easy job, we'll see, patience and method... Here is the start of construction
  13. Thanks Peanut for that kind word. You shouldn't look too closely at the Cutty Sark, the hull planking is poorly made and I didn't put all the rigging on. I'm learning to be patient. I went too fast on the CS. I didn't know all the techniques. Maid thanks to the forums, it's getting better. The Frenchie is not yet run in😄 Best regard.
  14. thank you all for your warm welcome
  15. Hi Bruce, Thank you for your compliment. What boat are you talking about for the build log? Have a good day
  16. Hello everyone from France, I discovered this forum while looking at the LIBERTO ST model. I am new to model making, my first boat was the Cutty Sark from Artesania Latina at 1/84. I start the Santisima Trinidad Occre at 1/90. Not easy this one. I hope to find on this forum ideas and advice. Thanks in advance. Forgive my not very good English😊
