    Very cool. I'll wait and see the end result then, and if you have cast offs, I'll see where my "wife would kill me" budget is sitting. I have a Creality CR-10, so I can accommodate 300mmx300mm pieces without issue. For detail parts, I have an Elegoo Saturn. For when things need to be really nice, I have brass and a jeweler saw! Thanks for the reply; I really can't wait to see the end result.

    I absolutely love this project, and joined just to comment on this. Though of course now I've got a place to start posting my (very basic, wargamer perspective) builds. I actually want to attempt printing this myself, specifically at the current massive scale. My wife and I just had our first child a couple weeks ago. I would love to build this as he grows up, and when he's old enough, it would be something we could enjoy together! If you are considering offering/selling STLs, please let me know!

If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
