  4. Great project. I am a newbi (did 3 models ) I purchased the rigging project and started to make the hull. I could not get evenly sized planks for deck and exterior. For the exterior I used 1/16 by 1/4 planks had and for the deck, I made a jig with bras(1/4 inch sq tubing and 1/4 flat) to hold and cult the 1/16 sheet stock. The I cound not makr the channels by gluing (3) 1/6 sheets together ( they would not stay together so I used a painters stirr stck and a 1/16 flst stock to make the channel. The pins were a good idea. I was looking to see if someone could suggest a better way to cut planks evenly. The hull is being taped and stained (see pic) and also a pic of the jig i made.
  5. I am a new member and not sure how posting works. The Marie Jeanne is my third model and I am trying to secure planks to bulk head. So far i am using binder clips clips size mini and small with various wood shapes in the binder to secure the plank plus an occasional dressmaker pin. I alos add some glue between boards. I am looking for suggestions on how to secure plansk.
