Having been a 'watcher' for some years I finally got round to joining MSW this afternoon. I took on Occre's Terror when I retired in 2019, as my first attempt at ship modelling. I stuck to the kit as I was still finding my way through something I had never done before. This is how it ended up.
Since then I have completed HMS Pegasus and Lady Nelson (both Victory models) and Occre's Endurance. Once Occre introduced a model of the Erebus, like you it was inevitable that I took this on having been fascinated with the whole story of Erebus and Terror since reading Michael Palin's excellent book.
Whilst not at your skill level I would like to make Erebus as authentic as possible and differentiate it from the Terror so have looked closely at your log so far. Question: if I raise the bulwarks as you suggest (yes it does look better) what happens to the distance between the shroud dead eyes? The bottom dead eyes level is fixed on the top of the ice buffer; do the top dead eyes stay level with the top of the bulwark and therefore the rigging between them just gets longer?
