Thank you all for your advice. Like I said I am just getting started. I do have some boat building experience but it is with small craft. This is different.

I am new to this hobby. I am building the Muscongus Bay lobster smack. The folks at Model Shipways recommend plastic wood to fill in the gaps in the hull planking. I tried that but I also found this Vallejo plastic putty. I found it works better in small spaces. Is there a reason I should not be using this on wood. It seems to be for plastic models
Inner stem and stern posts for Harriet Lane
in Building, Framing, Planking and plating a ships hull and deck

It has been a rainy weekend so I decided to start in on my Model Shipways Harriet Lane. I see that the inner stem and stern posts require shaping. It tells me to trace and transfer the curved lines on to the pieces but I am not sure where to find these lines. There is nothing etched onto the pieces and no pattern in the plans. Am I missing something or is there a place I could find a pattern for these. I don’t want to freehand it
thanks for any advice
