  1. Hi.  Sorry for sounding dim but I only just started this model and I’m confused by the thread that loops through the main body and then secured using a piece of card. I know that it’s for for the future rigging but wonder why it’s put in at such an early stage and secondly is it simply tied off behind the card?
Thank you and sorry for such a simple question

    Happy Christmas

Not quite sure where you're posting this. I can't answer your question since I don't know this model. I would recommend that you create a build log (using the conventions with the name of the model etc.). People who have built (or are building) those models might see a post or follow the build log (I often follow build logs when I see someone is building something I've built or am building and chime in if I see someone ask a question on their build log).

  4. Can I ask, as I gather the tools together apart from ochre yellow, does everyone follow the paint suggestions in the plans of follow other avenues? I seem to have too many makes. Thanks
  5. You know how people post pictures of how their build is progressing…….
  6. Good afternoon, I am retired & live in the West of England. I have had a late life crisis, and bought a HMS Victory kit!! I don't do anything without considerable research and having toyed with a Caldercraft version I realised it was way beyond my skill level. I have read loads of posts here and on FB, and watched sooo many YouTube videos. I am really ready to open the box wider. I have contacted "Dafi" and started to paints, as per the instruction book. There is a model shop in Royal Wootten Bassett, who I think I will be visiting of the next few years. Thank you for allowing me in and please be patient if I have lots of sill questions
