You've made the right decision to do the fix.
Happy holidays and have a nice stay in the UK with Anja .
-
In my opinion it's not necessary to have a solid staircase now, it's lookin fine now.
It's more important what you want yourself, closed or open .
-
This is really great work, I like the interiors very much.
Cannot wait for the next update

Very nice Adrieke, it's was always nice to finish the decks, it really look like a ship .
-
Thanks for your support, John and Sjors.
After painting the wheelhouse the plastic, woord or cardboard is out of sight.
-
Nice benches John, you're now able to sit for coffee and cake, happy birthday!!
-
-
Nice Adrieke, the icing on the cake.
I really love this part of a build .
-
Nice to see some pictures Sjors.
Nice progress .
Why do you use lightcoloured rigging?
As far as I know only the rigging at the deadeyes is light and all above is darkcoloured.
-
Well done John, bending the brass for the handrailing looks easy, but isn't.
-
Nice progress Adrieke.
Broken doors and unwilling stairs are so familiar to modelling wooden ships, but there is always a solution .

@Brian
You can have a look on wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paddle_steamer
There are two types of paddle steamers: sternwheelers and sidewheelers, both used for rivertrips, but for a more rough sea/water the sidewheeler was used.
John, sorry for answering before you could .

Adrieke,
Your display board looks fine to me, I only asked because mine was different.
I like using normal materials as drawer knobs, they are ideal for pedestals.
-
Nice progress Adrieke.
Have you made your own display board?
-
Sjors, I suppose your fans want more pics .
Did you use normal woodglue or the water resistant woodglue.
Normal woodglue you can soften with steam (as John already said) and with the help of a sharp knife you are able to release the parts.
-
Looks like a very interesting build and I wish you good luck with the build of it.
It's true most steamboats were destroyed by boiler explosions.
-
Thanks John, it's not mandatory to follow all logs .
As long I have inspirarion on the stacks of the Creole the Turtle has to wait for her next step. Can be one week or one month, I don't know yet.
-
John, detailing is indeed freat fun, I'm detailing now the stacks of the Creole Queen.
-
Nice work on the stairs John.
-
Nice progress and well done on the doors, stairs and railings.
-
Nice solution to do the railings this way.
Nice work !!
-
Thanks for looking in Mark .
I was askes how I bend the brass.
Take a wooden rod with the correct diameter. Take a piece of brass,
Take two pliers and force the brass around the rod.
Cut the brass, bit of sanding and that's it.
That's for the first ornament, the C and Q. For the second ornament I've bend the brass two times around the rod.
