    I love this model. I will try to upload some pictures of my kit bashing.

    Its much easy to plank the deck without the hull in the way. Perhaps the best answer is to plank the hull below the deck; then plank the deck, and then lastly plank the hull above the deck. Nice model for your fitst one!

    I also decided not to blacken the brass. I think this will make a nice contrast against the wood.

    I think the hull has come out nicely.

    I decided to keep the hull natural wood and give it a poly ureathene simi-gloss finish. The model for the most part will be unpainted and will show of the wood aspects.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955.
