Finished after 2 years, lots of errors as it was commenced prior to finding this site , however a good learning piece for HMS Pegasus which will commence in January

(On my primary want list, now finally coming back to wooden ships ( after trains, airplanes and 1/10 cars...).

Trying to decide what to start with, there's a half built Corel Victory from a neighbour, or this one

- or a vintage untouched Dikar Thermopylae that was offered to me just now.... Choices...)

Thanks, the instructions are poor but I was used to building RC aircraft, found out about rabbets and bairding too late, but it is a fair stand off model I think

Ex RC builder and flyer myself. This side of the hobby is more relaxing and more suited to my present age, I think (well, I hope).

 

Did some Billing kits in the past. Was thinking Caldercraft was a step up from those...?

Never done a billings so I've no comparison I'm afraid, the kit for me was good quality, just poor instruction for a novice.
