O.K. that explains that tab! I built my ship supports from a design I have seen used on other builds. I planned to put LED lights in and wanted something that could hide my wiring. Here's a pic of my stand. I do not think I'll incorporate the nameplate for my build. I guess that's why I couldn't figure out why that tab was there - I didn't read through the directions for stand application.
