Hi I’m new to this forum and a first time builder.

I started building H.M.S. FLY in 2014 after a knee operation and a shorter than anticipated recovery.

Having completed the first planking the project was put aside to attend to more pressing matters.

Now having resisted the wife’s suggestion that I pass it on to someone else to finish,I’m attempting to pick up the threads.

The instructions say that having glued the stern counter facia in place, plank the area above up to the lower edge of the stern window facia position.

What it doesn’t tell me is the exact position of this lower edge. Can someone enlighten me, how many 4mm planks would be a great help.

It's been so long since I did that task that I don't remember the number. But there are a lot of completed Fly and Pegasus models in our gallery, plus build logs of models still in progress, so checking those out should provide some hints.

Cheers!

I’ve had a trawl through some builds Chris, but not been able to find clear information to date.

Perhaps one of the plans will have a view I can scale.

Cheers
