USS Vermont ?

Random question (probably a stupid one) does anyone know what happened with the Vermont after it was sold? was it scraped? was it destroyed? is there anything left?

Now that is Beautiful. Did you build that, I seem to recall something about this as to it being bought from someone, not sure if this is the ship I am thinking of but dam that is Beautiful

I posted many pictures of this model in the General Discussion forum. I am actively trying to find out the builder's name. So far, I have not been able to. I bought it recently at auction in Dallas. I had hoped that someone would recognize it. It is in 1:48 scale so it is huge.

Yes, now I remember it was this ship. Like I said before she is Beautiful. So you still haven't had any luck finding out who built her, thats a shame since he or she did a wonderful job. Keep us posted if you find out who it was.

The disposition of most (if not all) U.S. Navy sailing ships can be found in Donald L. Canney's Sailing Ships of the U.S. Navy. Also, the U.S. Naval Historical Center (website) will give ship histories of all U.S. Navy vessels.
