I only just came across this - https://www.nationalgeographic.com/magazine/2009/10/shipwreck/

A Portuguese nau, the Bom Jesus, shipwrecked on the African coast in the 1530s with a cargo including elephant tusks and gold coins - but it was discovered 12 years ago and the report is from 10 years ago. How do we miss these things?

By the way, the page includes a slideshow; one of the slides is of what appears to be a halyard knight, though it may be for another purpose because it only has two sheaves.
