Hi!

In the public library of the Nautical Faculty of Barcelona, there is a curious book, Modern ships of war by Edward J. Reed and Edward Simpson published in 1888.

It talks about the "modern" warships of that time, of the naval forces of Great Britain, the United States, France, and and some notes of Italy, Germany, Turkish and Austrian navies.

And a chapter on the construction of great guns.

The book is under public access.

In the same library there are more old books in Catalan, French and castilian related to the navy and with public access.
