First few steps complete! Cut the hull out of a solid block of wood. I cut the shape of the ship out using a handsaw and smoothed it down and into the right shape with a file. The planking (coffee sticks! :) ) will go over any imperfections or mistakes. It does look rough right now, though.

Can you upload your photos directly to the forum? I can tell you that most members will not bother to open attached files -- especially in today's climate of IT security.
