Hi, I'm working on the same model, but I feel like I'm missing some of the instructions. For example, I can't find anywhere a description of which pieces are numbered 40 - 70. Am I missing something? Maybe you can tell me.

looks like your missing one of the large sheets i looked up those parts and they do exist with a description. eg. part no 40 is the quarter deck hatch and there are few others that refer to the poop deck regarding planking, rubbing strakes etc..
