I chose this longboat too as a first time build but I'm really struggling with the planking at the bow. Going to take me awhile to get good enough at shaping planks before I can make progress so I'm doubly impressed with what you have achieved!
whitejamest Posted July 23, 2020 Thanks very much guys. Havelock, yes I found the bow the most challenging part of the planking as well. I was grateful to the painted waterline for hiding a few blemishes. But at least with such a small kit it's not so bad if you have to rip off a few planks and try them again.
