Armed Virginia Sloop - Model Shipways

Built several years ago, following Bob Hunt’s College of Model Shipbuilding Course.   My first serious effort.  
 

Built out of the box, with all kit supplied materials.  Liked cherry stain at the time, hence the color of the masts and the poop deck.

 

”Dry dock” frame and support structure stained with brown dye.

 

Case design is my own.  Tiger maple base moulding and frame, with Maple stain and wax finish.

Fine model, well-displayed. I particularly like the dry dock - much more interesting than the usual pedestals.
