This is my 1/350 scale USS San Francisco, converted from the 1942 Trumpeter kit to 1939. The finished model contains 1,020 scratch built and aftermarket pieces, and took 1,108 hours to build. One of the black and white photos is the USS Quincy, San Francisco’s twin sister. The other is a photo of the model, cut out with an X Acto knife and glued to the background of the Quincy photo. The turret tops and SOC Seagulls have historically correct markings. I cut up the wings on one plane and reattached them in their folded position.
