Viking Ship (Ladja) 1/72 from Falkonet

Nice little kit, perfect for beginners. The rope from the kit was rather shiny and was replaced. The stand isn't the original one either.

I see you got around to building this little gem. I like the stain you used, looks really good.

Lovely work. I agree that the coloring of the wood is excellent, very attractive.

Thank you both for your kind comments. The stain is oak varnish. It's a bit on the glossy side bit gives the rather light colored wood a nice dark finish.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955.
