Nuclear-powered icebreaker Arktika from Ogonek, 1/400

This kit is a Arktika class Arktika (Арктика) from Ogonek (ОГОНЕК). The Arktika was decommissioned and moored in 2008. The kit was first produced in 1975 and reproduced in 201x.

My model's color scheme is based on the 5th ship, Yamal. If you like the movie and want to build the Yamal, you can find the third party PE conversion kit that was released last year.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
