I had originally wanted to build one of those lovely English Stuart yachts, like those designed by Peter Pett and Sir Anthony Deane in the 1670s, because they had a simple rig that seemed suitable for RC modeling, and they offered an opportunity to try my hand at some carving for the first time. However, there were no plans available for them (at least not at the time), or at least none that were accessible to me.
Af Chapman's *Architectura Navalis Mercatoria* provided a substitute.

Herzliche Grüße
Willi
