The planking was painful. Several broken pieces. For the most part I did not pre-drill. The few exceptions were if I were pinning an end piece and there wasn't much stock on one side. Also where the strakes got thin at the bow, I pre-drilled them. Thanks for your compliments -
December 1st - The sides are fully planked - also a shot of the stern. The plans call to double the pin nails on all of the planks and in so doing, I ended up running out of pin nails. I found some brass colored memory wire and used that instead. It worked fine.

By the end of November I had made some progress. One thing I did that I haven't seen on the build logs was to layout all of the planks and sort them by color. So the dark planks are on the bottom of the hull and moving to the lighter planks that will line the bulwarks.
