Hi Dave,
I've got the same kit but don't plan to build for a year or so, so I'll be following your progress with great interest. Also, FYI, my central former is also significantly warped. Maybe the curve introduced by this warpage was the real secret to the yacht's success!!!! (Just kidding.). Are you planning to try and remove the warp or cut a new piece?

Thanks for the clarification Mike. I didn't realize there were problems there but I guess it's understandable. I contacted Amati and they responded quickly offering to provide me a set of plans free of charge. Now I can use the money I was going to spend on plans for beer!

Considering what is going on at the moment this is a rather odd request.
I'm sorry, but I'm new to the site. What's odd about my question? Did I commit a site faux pas?

A number of years ago I bought the Bluenose 1:100 scale kit from Model Shipways. I'm finally ready to build and when I opened the kit I found the plans missing. Apparently Model Shipways sold this kit under license from Amati so they are unable to help me with a set of plans. Does anyone have a set for this kit they would be willing to part with? Thanks.

Hi Guybrarian,
I'm about to begin this same model. After fairly extensive review of the plans, I still can't visualize how the planking falls at the stern. Especially confusing to me is for the upper planks, where they appear to rotate around 90 degrees. Any chance you could send or post a few detailed photos of he stern? Thanks much.

Simon, I hope you're doing well. I just saw your log and was curious on your hull paint method. From the pictures in your log, the quality of your hull paint job is incredible. I'm curious, did you spray or brush? Do you have some kind of finish on top of the paint? Thanks.
