    Another update
(I have the unpleasant feeling, just as if I'm spamming)

    Assembling the false keel

Removed the unecessay wood from the bulkheads, above the gundeck line.
This process took some time : every seperate bulkhead, I had to remove and reinstall the sawblad of my Proxxon tool.
The gundeck : first produced a fake one from card to make the necessary measurements ( alignment & position gunports....etc)

Continuation previous post : the "gundeck-gunport-position-issue"
    Here's the pics.
Let's imagine a worst case scenario : If I were to reduce the size (just a little bit)of the wheels belonging to the gun carriages....would someone notice?
Probably unecessary. let's call this beginners luck 😊. The false gundeck ( that is to be covered) is made of birchwood (0,5 mm)

At present : working on the correct size of the gunports.

The bow section is a separate piece and until now dry fit.

I am trying to improve making wooden blocks to reach more realistic result. I use only basic tools (knives, raspers, sandpaper) and mainly my hands.  Here are several pics of blocks (with red points) I made last time, and you can compare them with others that were made in the begining.

I also hung the fore and main lower yards on the masts for imagination, how large the model will be. The main lower yard is about 55cm long.(proportions are partly based on the plans of the HMS Lenox)

Yes, as TOM G wrote, I create and build the model by myself, but Kpt.KL gives me plenty of professional advice for more realistic result. I appreciate his help a lot, he learns me (and also other people) to do things better - not only making nice looking models, but also models corresponding to a real ships.
There are several models of the Royal Katherine that people build according to this modeling plan:

    https://www.amazon.in/Bauplan-Katherine-Modellbau-Modellbauplan-UY-W8EHF3196054/dp/B01IAKRG6W

but the result does not correspond to the design and construction of real English ships around 1670. In this plan there's a whole bunch of total nonsense that the planmaker invented.
My question is - why to spend thousands of hours building something, what is only nice but not tied to a real ship, when I can do it correctly according to the reality in the same work?
Therefore, my model is based on historical evidence, quality literature and archaeological findings. I know that I can't always manage to do it right, but if I can, I try. It's the most demanding project I've ever done.

Rigging the cannnons, the helm and the anchor cables on the deck .

Cannon rigging in a 1/110 scale... Stressful to me (in my opinion) it took me more then 1 hour for each cannon.

    The helm

    anchor cabels.
To get these flat on the deck they are glued on deck with ca glue. Carefully applied to a toothpick.

    Thanks for following

    Second anchor + anchor tackles.

It still needs some final touches but first I need decide few things.
Running the anchor cable through windlass... I'm convinced I have it right (same as in plans) as windlass wind the anchor up rotating anti-clockwise and pawl in the bell bitt securing the spinning other way. But when "sinking" anchor is the cable still Running through windlass and spin with it? Were both anchors operated in one go? It does not make much sense to me how it is in plans. In this setup I do not see the way how to detach cable from windlass. PLEASE HELP!!

    Plan

Second attempt with bobstay turned out much better.

The rudder tillers from thin ropes look also much better!

    And the whole ship

Bowsprit is now secured in place so I was able to do some testing rigging. I decided to make my own ropes. I rig the jib tack and jib tack guy. I have to say that I'm happy how that turned out.
I have also experimented little bit with the pictures and the setup of taking the picture. So hopefuly There are more details visible. Still it is camera from my mobile phone so no miracles there.

As the hull is coming closer to finish I have to work on all very small remaining details. This time Just Iron work.
Traveller (it is so small that my poor camera couldn't catch any more details)

Some more eyelets for sanding rigging. With the thimble for bobstay and 2 on each side for bowsprit shrouds.
