Hard work last two days. 8 hrs total and the foremast rigging starts to get formed. Didnt use GAC 400 to blow wind into the sails but just a thin brass wire at the bottom and the side opposite the mast. The two square sails are furled because thats the plan as the picture below.

Shipyard's electricians worked some overtime today to install the position lights on the foremast. Rigging begins on Monday and it looks it want be easy. I never had a for- and - aft boat.

So today SWC completed 200 hrs of work. The crow's nest in now on the foremast. I rather call it the "cuckoo's nest" after all the hard time I had with this detail. Even installing it on the mast wasnt easy because the parts had to be and were allready painted.
The blocks of the kit look realy nice. They are plastic but need to be painted. There is a good tamiya brown paint:

Shipyard open today after Christmas holidays. Masts continued and crow's nest started and almost finished.... wasnt easy because of the round brass wire.

So today came with the post the figure head of SWC to replace the one I misplaced.I did that a few weeks ago, after I took it out of its paking and was afraid of loosing it. It was then that I believed I found a safe place to put it, in order not to loose it!
The "Zootoy jp" web shop (seller of my kit) had found me a spare one and within 6 days it came from Japan. I paid 8 euros shipment included.
So this is what I did with it:

I have been working on a little project lately, something I've wanted to do for years, making my own boat.
It's an Iain Oughtred design, Tammie Norrie, a 4.5mtr (15 foot) clinker sailing dinghy.
I'm really enjoying using full sized hand tools, especially the planes but the lessons learned in ship modelling have been a huge help.
