Still doing a little bit each day, but find time to have a look at what you have done the slimming down makes them look more to scale. I have to keep checking as I have saved over 200 photos. and you keep getting work done so quick. I will have to re think painting this could be good as it sounds like I will be able keep more wood without it looking out of place

As per usual you are doing a wonderful job, the lathe certainly makes a difference. I have cut 140 frame pieces for the gun ports, attached 60. the only problem is mum has gone into nursing home so not getting much time as we have got to clear out her house and sell it to pay for her care. Keep up the good work I keep down loading the pictures. I will get round to them one day,but they are really helpful

Have just finished cutting out all the holes for the guns, it was much harder cutting the very top ones being Sapelia an double thickness on some. Have also put all the inserts in to make the guns equal length, just got to paint them then start putting the frames in that's going to be tedius.I might paint the guns for a break.

I have ended up putting an extra piece in every hole as I found the ones that had to be done made them stick out a fraction more. I have completed one side, just about to do the other. I don't think I will put on the copper as I am going to paint it as per restoration.

Well I thought I better put up a photo of progress, stopped working on galleys and after making about 5 templates for the gun ports and trying to miss the bulwarks I thought I had cracked it but must have gone wrong somewhere. I concentrated on getting the door and centre correct so the the steps etc fitted in the right place. But looking at Pauls I seem to be slightly different. Anyway cut all the holes out left a little to cut so that I get them correct when putting the surrounds in. I made sure at the start that the gun rails were completely at the bottom only to find apart from 3 on the bottom row I have got to put inserts in through the holes. The other rows also need some.

Sorry I have not put anything on lately but I am struggling marking out the gun ports thanks to Paul giving me the measurements for the ones at the top so that I miss the bulwarks I am working back from them.

My word you have really been working hard, I am still working on the bulwarks on the top deck, I traced the plan to get the angles at the back. I also traced the gun ports and placed it on the the main plan and I noticed like you said some over lap the bulwarks I thought I would be clever and lay the tracing on the boat but they do not match up on the white planks.Still got some sanding left to do on the hull.

I am getting there still got the edges to trim where the stern post and the front fit as I overlapped the planks rather than try cutting them when I was putting them on. Whilst waiting for the glue to dry I work on the family tree on Ancestry so I keep occupied all the time. As it seems it might look okay, and I am going to paint it I might just oil the bottom below the water line.

Thank you Paul for the time and information on helping me, I thought I would be clever on the poop deck windows I tried cutting out holes and putting in window frames what a mess spent nearly five days on them. I have started again and I am copying yours and its looking much better will post photo's of both when done. Again in the photos in the manuel it shows them set in from the edge of the deck but I noticed you have them flush which makes sense as the side planking would not fit
