Update: Unfortunately Thurston is no longer in business. The company they sold to will only sell a minimum of 25 blades. I guess the only interested in retail sales. 
I believes there’s a company in the UK that sells slitting blades that are used in the Jim Byrnes saw. The name of the company is Globus. 

Does anyone have a source for Preac saw blades? I used to buy them from Thurston, but they are no longer in business. I contacted the company that bought them but they will only sell a minimum of 25 blades. I guess they’re not interested in selling retail.

I have both saw and I use both. I modified the Preac sso I’m able to raise and lower the blade height by just turning a knob. Much like on the Byrne saw. 
I keep the Preac on the work bench alongside the model I’m building and use I’d for precision cutting., usually within thousands of an inch. And I am comfortable  keeping my fingers closer to the blade than I would with the Byrne saw without fearing an injury.  
I use the Byrne saw for heavier but still precise cutting.           
Please note the  blade height adjustment I made to the Preac saw improves its versatility 100% 

Looks very similar to the Dremel Stylus, which Dremel has discontinued. And that's too bad because the Dremel was an excellent tool. I have have one that I've used it daily for about six years and have never had any problems with it. And I'n still using it. So if this is another company making basically the sane rotary tool i would recommend it. However if it's just a Chinese ripoff, then all bets are off.

It will be interesting to find out.

Bob, have fun at the Admiralty Workshop.  I envy you your proximity to their workshops.  Colorado is a fer piece for me to travel to attend.  Your keel looks great.  Nice work on the treenails and the caulking.
