    I have not been able to find a reference here relating to Westbourne Models of Bournemouth, England, but if this retailer has been discussed before then apologies. Before placing an order buyers should Google for reviews - - - very illuminating and beneficial for the bank account as well as one's peace of mind. My own experience has not cost me anything thanks to interception by Paypal but it seems many have found transactions painful.

    Hello, Sabre, You're a bit north of me, perhaps 450 miles from darkest Essex (GB), and I'm a very new member, too. I have a Billings Bluenose waiting in the cupboard for me to finish Thermopylae which deserves better craftsmanship than I have given it so far - - - I've reached the point where it should be dismantled right back to the point where the cackhandedness started or continue in the hope I can cover up the clumsiness. I'm veering towards dismantling; I don't think I can live with the shame of dishonest work. I'd like to see your Bluenose progress. Aye, Tumbleweed

If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
