  7. Usually quite well, I’m 79 next month, not very fit, Can’t walk very far, got lots of free time ( especially in Lock Down ) I’m really lucky I have the ability to do this, and I enjoy it. This only took under 2 hours. Long may I be able to do it!. Ps it’s also nice that other people enjoy it as well. Jim

  12. Precisely. You can do things with a paint brush, that you can’t do with a camera. As you say there wasn’t much traffic then and even less people with a camera. Jim

I was born and brought up in Leith, and used to love wandering the Docks( you could in those days) l did my MN Training at Leith Nautical College ( TS Dolphin ) Now live in Auchtermuchty, a village about 20 miles in a straight line across the Forth from Britannia Glad you enjoyed your visit 'Haste Ye Back' Jim

  18. Thanks. Alway fancied living on a Narrow Boat. When I was still at school, (a few years ago) A friend's brother had an Airborne Lifeboat, complete!, bought ‘government surplus'? At that time (1950s) the Breakers Yard at Inverkeithing was selling Ships lifeboats for £1 a foot! jim

  25. Castle Class Corvette/Frigate HMNoS Tunsberg Castle. unfortunately didn’t last long in service. She was mined on Dec 12 1944 off Båtsfjord, Norway with th loss of 5 crew. Watercolour 14” X 9”
