Looking very good there! Another question- how did you make the stanchions for the railings?
Hi nrg710,
unfortunately the making of own railing stanchions is beyond my capability (machine wise), so I had to use the ones offered by model crafter Shops.
I can recommend a good and priceworthy one : (Google up RB Models)

Thank you for your words Elia,
yes, I felt that this one should be shared with fellow modellers.
As you also have photography as one of your hobies, I can imagine that you have an eye for details anyhow...

What a lovely model. You must have had mixed emotions while building her.
Yes usedtosail,
you said it, but I started a Research regarding to Crew, ship and 3 passengers, parallel to the model-build, and am today quite astonnished what all could be brought up after all These years

Hi Bwpeters,
in answer to your questions....
the hull plates are made from a coil of self adhesive Aluminium foil, cut into the right sizes and roll-embossed from the rear side with a tool made from some old clockwork toothwheels resembling two- and three row riviting
Yes the flag is the correct common former flag flown by german merchant vessels, as to the intermediate period of the "Weimarer Republik" after WW1 there was a Little mini-space in the flags upper left Corner showing the todays known german Flag
