you did an awsome job on this. I really love all the little details and I would like to see a build log too.
Cheers, Richard.
Thanks Richard,

Michael
thanks for stopping by, I did not post a build log of this steamer yet, but may be preparing to do so, if the common interest rises. At least I have very many digital pics of all building sequences. Let me know if you have special interest in certain sequence-pics upfront..., I`ll send to you per PM if you wish

Beautiful build Ulrich !

Hi Dani,
I guess the model is larger than what the kit provides. A beautiful sight on the lake, how much lead did you put into the extra keel, and can the sails be RC controlled (to brass) as well ?

Hello Remco
yes, of course I have several hundred digitilised pics of all buildingsequences and Details. Due to the character of the MSW Forum as I understand it, to date there are mainly excellent 18th century and earliermodels, and on the other Hand there is no category for "scratch build-logs for completed models" (those not in Progress any more).
If you wish, send me a PM with your email address, I could send you a couple of sample pics to give an idea...
Regards

Thanks for your comments Jack,
Yes thats correct, live pork was kept in kennel boxes port and starboard side just behind the forcastle bulkhead. The Pamir took about 1800 man hours to complete over a period of 2 years (completion in 2012 about two months after the Gorch Fock had been completed, both tallships built quite synchron, experiences and improvements of the first adopted for the second)
Cheers

Hi Michael, I trust you mean a build plan or so..., but actually no, before keellaying I gathered many Information everywhere, only bits of the puzzle, unti every Detail was treated accordingly ( from the pig Kennels ...to the functional 6 drum Jarvis bracing winches, sail sewing, etc.)

Thanks Jay, i`m glad that you like this one

Hi Volker, after gaining some experience with the Gorch Fock 2 the
scratch built Pamir had been Chosen for the second candidate...

Yes Ed, I`m quite pleased that my first Steamship-Build worked out like I had it in mind (many new modeling techniques involved)
