  1. Thanks for all the greetings. I haven't fixed on what to do yet, but I'm looking seriously at the Amati Fifie as I like its 'relative simplicity' (ie not much rigging for a first attempt), it's size and the fact that I live in the east of Scotland so it's relevant to me. If anyone has any other suggestions though .... Martin
  2. Hi, I'm a plastic modeler of many years (ships @ 1/72, 1/144 and 1/350 scale as well as armour/vehicles, dioramas and model railways) from Fife in Scotland. I'm building up the courage to start my first wooden ship model. Martin
  3. As a plastic modeller of many years and having done the 1/72 flower class corvette I was thinking of this for my first wooden ship model. There is a series of build videos on YouTube on a channel called Davaoshipmodeller which I'm watching - he's not all the way through yet but has finished the hull. They're very good.
