As I'm near the shroud stage this above question about length came up . is it possible to (with dead eyes rigged ) start 1shroud line around a dead eye, seize that, run shroud line up around mast and down to other dead eye ,tighten it and seize it ,then seize the shroud up on mast ? -

As you know I'm doing the bounty ,the reason for this "review" is because Amati hasn't replied to my email and maybe somehow they'll find this review . When I got the bounty the English booklet was weird as there was no instructions for several figures ,so I watched Daveco on YouTube Bounty build ,so I emailed them for digital copy of English booklet ,all good I printed it out and made a new booklet ,I then found the original I had lost and noticed pages missing ,I emailed them again and have heard crickets from them . I hope somehow they find this error That said I'm loving my boat ,
-
Interesting ,I thought that was what you were talking about ,,I thought it would look nice with black thread , Have a good day !!!
-
I used the 1mm role the instructions call for . I have no idea what you mean with what seizings are what untarred role is lol the black thread is just thread for sewing ,I used it for the grout on the deck. I'm thinking of epoxy as well
-
Well,sh*t is getting real now lol this is a good pic for the rope that holds cannon from going backwards at a high rate of speed on my Amati Bounty would epoxy be good to fasten 0.5 mm ring bolts to a bulwarks .5mm hole ? sorry for shameless pic of my awesome deck planking !! Lol

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
