    Hi Mick, my next build will be for sure a “whole POF” project. I’ve got the 74 Gunship monography (ANCRE) but it is too challenging for the time being (actually this is my first POF). Yes indeed, I'm really tempted to do the full Triton. Will see ! Gimo

    Hi Mick, first of all let me congratulate you for your outstanding build !. About the timber (you are rigth), I’m using beech for the frames, linden for the deck and walnut for other stuff. Additionanlly, I will use mahogany for the hull planking. I have to admit, I’m only using what I have on hand. Not willing to place and order an wait for the delivery. Cheers Gimo

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955.
